Impact Cordless Wrench
We have had various types of battery-operated tools for a long time. It has been quite some time since we have had to deal with seemingly endless lines of power cords to trip over or get tangled up in… or just accidentally unplug in the middle of a job. One tool that is a welcome addition to the cordless world is the impact cordless wrench.
Having impact cordless wrench not only frees us from the power cords we are now also free from a loud and expensive air compression unit – the preferred method of power for an impact wrench .
When battery-operated tools first appeared on the scene there was some concern that they were underpowered and overpriced. It seemed like the batteries simply didn’t have enough juice, or they didn’t have enough juice long enough for a job.
We were then forced to either pay more for an extra back up battery so we never ran out of power, or we had to wait while our battery recharged before we could finish the job at hand.
That is no longer a problem. As with pretty much everything, the technology of batteries has improved too. Today’s extended life Ni-Cad batteries last much longer than previous generations did.
Along with the extended run time of the batteries they can also be recharged more quickly than in years gone by. This is just one of the improvements that make cordless tools a genuinely viable alternative to their corded cousins.
Since there are many makes and models of cordless wrenches on the market today, you will want a few ideas of what to look for.

Keep these tips in mind when you go shopping:
1. Decide what type of battery-powered wrench you want. The size of the brand the amount of available torque, etc.
Some tools will have multiple forward and reverse settings and speeds. Figure out how many available speeds you will need.
Consider the overall layout of the wrench. Does it have a trigger or rocker switch, is the handle padded and comfortable? All of this will factor into your overall satisfaction with the impact wrench you buy.
Once you’ve decided on the exact options you want and need in your new wrench, you can start to find the best deal with the best features.
2. Compare the various battery options. Some cordless wrenches come with Ni-Cad and some come with lithium. Compare the run times of each to determine which type makes the most sense for you.
Also, consider the configuration of the battery. Is it attached to the wrench or can it be unhooked from the wrench? Being able to remove the battery pack and plug in a new, fully charged battery can really allow you to work non stop.
I think most of us would agree that having options is great. The problem is that sometimes too many options just make it harder to make a good decision.
Before you head off to the store or online, just remember where, what, when and how you will be using the wrench. That way, you stand a better chance of getting the best impact cordless wrench for you and your needs.
